The Whims of the Gods

The Whims of the Gods offers cooperative gameplay for two players, allowing them to build an ancient city together. This is the first project of PJ GAMES; the studio was established in 2021 due to a collaboration between Platige Image S.A. and Juggler Games sp. z o.o.

Players must build a vibrant metropolis, meeting the needs of its inhabitants and efficiently processing acquired resources to expand their economy and military. But it's not all! They start by constructing simple residences and warehouses. Still, they will soon go on to create complex production systems, involving growing plants, breeding animals, supplying energy to buildings, maintaining an army, and trading with the gods.

Oh, and the gods... Well... They are whimsical. Sometimes, they will send plagues, earthquakes or other disasters to ravage your city. The players will have to prepare accordingly. But, other times, they will make your crops grow faster or invigorate your citizens to work harder. Plan to reap the greatest benefits from these boons!

But the main feature of The Whims of the Gods is a cooperation system between two players. There is too much for one player to do alone, so everyone can grab a friend and split the load. Coming to an understanding as to who is responsible for what is as much a part of the challenge of the game as is creating production cycles and escaping the volcano.
